Pick up some turkey or beef smoked sausage, a jar of sauerkraut, and a sweet onion!. You'll need the ingredients for a green salad on hand, too!. also, some rye bread (or another if you like!.)
Get out the crock pot!. Brown the sausage in a skillet, and mix with the sauerkraut and chopped onion in the crock pot!. Flavor with chopped apple, caraway seeds, and brown sugar if desired!.
Serve after 4 hours of cooking with bread and salad!.
The longer this cooks the better (mellower) it gets!Www@FoodAQ@Com
