burn it!.!.!. the easiest way i found to burn your skillet is to make a fire outside and let the coals get very hot!. then stick the skillet into the coals and leave it there for a couple hours!. then take it out and let it cool naturally so it doesn't crack!. then you want to put grease in it (i know it sounds crazy) but you have to do this to keep food from sticking to it, burn all the grease out on your stove till it is smoking!. you want to have your fan on above your stove!. I have had to do this many times for my grandmother and my father showed me howWww@FoodAQ@Com

Try bicarbonate of soda!. I put in some water, enough to cover the marks, put in a large pinch of bicarb and heat it until boiling!. When cool, most marks come away, maybe needing a little persuasion with a non stick scouring pad!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Steel wool won't scratch steel skillets!.
Try soaking in water then scraping then steel wool/brush!.
also soak in caustic soda from the supermarket with added water!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Stick with Emily's answer and baking soda!. It's worked for me many times and doesn't take as much work as "burning it"!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
