This is the campers dream meal!!!!! an omelette!. My uncle who has passed away has left me with the perfect camping meal!. It is so good and I thank him for it every time I make it!. you use freezer bags!. Put one or two eggs or how ever many you like into the bag!. Then you add the extras ie: beacon bits, cheese, onion, ham and so on!. Then you write each campers names on their individual bag with a permanent marker!. Last you place the bags in water that is at a rolling boil for seven minutes!. I personally like mine well done so I go for twelve!. You would think it would be weird like a boiled egg or a poached one, but it isn't!. You just dump it onto your paper plate and eat it!. It is delicious!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Depending on the length of the trip, you can do simple meatless foods like spaghetti or Hamburger Helper, or if it's just a short trip, add the meat to either or cook it ealier on!. Chili (with or without meat) is also very good!.

Fresh caught fish though is the highlight of any of MY camping trips!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Do you have dutch ovens!?

You can do fried chicken!.

Roasts

Ribs

Baked Beans

Corn Bread

Cobbler

My fave potato side is to cut up some bacon and fry it up!. Remove the bacon and add some sliced potatoes!. Stir and start to brown then add onions and beel peppers then add the bacon back in!.

Bring some steaks to fry up!.

Take a potato and slice it about every 1/2 in or so!. Don't slice all the way to the bottom of the tater!. Add some butter seasoned with seasoned salt, onion powder, granulated garlic, pepper etc!.!.!.!. and smear it over the foil/ Place the potatoe sliced side down and double wrap!. On the second wrap put the seam side up!. Toss in the hot coals and bake!.

also bring a large container of slaw!.

You can make your own potato salad with left overs from dinner!.

The best rule of thimb for cooking in a dutch oven is this!. If you have a 14 in DO use 14 coals spread around the bottom and 14 coals around the top!. Rotate the lid and actual pot in opposite directions from time to time!. Keep on top of the coals and don;t let them burn down!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can cook almost everything that you do at home that does not need to be baked!. Roast, hot dogs, hamburgers, steak, corn on the cob, baked potatoes in the fire wrapped in foil!. We caught fish and cooked that also!. You could make tuna or salmon patties or whatever turns you on!. Maybe you should pick up a book on camping and sure you will find ideas!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I always bring eggs and ham along with bread during camping trips for a great breakfast or even dinner or perhaps lunch!.

I also bring a variety of olives, cheese and roasted peppers!. These foods can tolerate not being in the fridge!.

Don't forget crusty bread, cans or pouches of good tuna and yes, marshmallows!.

Hot dogs and buns and some mustard, ketchup and relishes!. Pickles in jars and sweet stuffed peppers in jars works well!.

Salami is great and so are canned sardines and salmon!.

Have fun camping and don't forget the pound cake and some other sweet stuff for the tooth!.!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can make foil packets!. You fill them with a meatloaf and potatoes!.
