Answers:
No!. But you DEFINITELY want to make sure the water doesn't boil out!.!.!. I set a timer so I don't forget about it, and can check on the water and add more every hour or so!.!.!.!. takes 3-4 hours of simmering to make caramel!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have an alternative method of boiling condensed milk!.!.!.pour the can of milk into a jug or large bowl and place in microwave oven and heat for 30 seconds; stir and put jug back into micro for 5 seconds and stir!. Keep repeating 5 second method until you have right consistency for your caramel!. The whole process doesn't take more than 5 minutes!. I have used this method several times for bannoffee pie and it's worked each time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No!.

Leave the can intact, gently boil for 4 hours and make sure the can remains submerged for the whole time!. When finished, cut out the top and bottom of the can and you will have the richest dessert you'll ever have!. Thin slices, PLEASE

Oh, it's sweetened condensed milk, not normal canned milk

Let the can cool before you open it upWww@FoodAQ@Com

I'm not sure if you need to pierce the cans or not as I discovered that you can buy it already made!. Carnation - the same company that makes the tins of condensed milk do a caramel in a can and it is yum!Www@FoodAQ@Com

NO - but I can never understand just WHY NOT !
Anything else would explode but apparently there is no possibility of that happening with this product so long as there is plenty of water in the pan!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Do not pierce them and allow them to boil for around 8-9 hours in order to caramalise them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Don't you dare!. It won't work if you do!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, you don't!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no leave tin intact,or milk will run out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

YES! They could explode if you dont!!!

You need to boil them for 3-4 hours, and please be careful if you are going to pierce the lids now as they may already be under a lot of presure, and the contents could be hot enough to take off your skin!Www@FoodAQ@Com
