Answers:
you have several options

the yogurt is a great idea!. if it is sweetened yogurt, you can even cut back the sugar some

you can use oil in the same amount that you are missing butter, or shortening if the butter isn't supposed to be melted

you can also substitute apple sauce, and cut back the sugar some!.

the yogurt will make it richer, so would oil!. applesauce will make it lighter!.

any of these subs would be in the same amount as the butter you are missing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Reduce the other ingredients in your recipe!. Divide everything by three, then multiply it by 2!. Unless you have shortening!. That is a great substitute for butter!.

EDIT: oops!. Saw that you don't have shortening!. If you have applesauce, you can try it, since lots of recipes turn out well if only 1/3 of the fat is replaced by applesauce!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can substitute oil or shortening for butter!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

cream cheese would be good 1:1

Sour cream works wellWww@FoodAQ@Com

I would borrow some from my neighbor and then take her some extras afterward ; )Www@FoodAQ@Com
