When lining a cooking sheet with tin of oil, should 1 side of the foil be face up?!

Actually, it does make a difference!. The shiny side *is* shiny because it is smoother (on the microscopic scale) and is thus less likely to stick to food!.
It's like sanding a wall before you paint it, because the paint adheres more firmly to the roughened surface!.
