Reducing sugar quick 10 pointt?!


Question: Reducing sugar quick 10 pointt!?
A cake recipe calls for 2 cups of sugar!. If I want to reduce the sugar content without changing the serving content, what will I need to do!? Perhaps more flour!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

You don't really need to substitute anything-just use a little less liquid ingredients, then check the consistency-add a little more liquid if needed!. Most dessert recipes call for way too much sugar, but its easy to reduce the amount!. Since sugar becomes a liquid in the batter, it shouldn't reduce your amount of servings by anything too noticeable!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Don't add more flour!. How much do you want to reduce the sugar by!.

I woud only go as low as 1 cup!. Use apple sauce instead of the oil and you will have a natural sweetness to go with it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i would add sweet stuff, like strawberries, apple sauce, etc!.
not sure how much to reduce it by, i'd reduce to 1 - 1 1/2 cup!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
