Answers:
Sure you can bake them but I suggest a good 'ol broil!. Broiling is essentially upside-down grilling and most ovens have a broil setting!. Check on your oven for the broil knob and make sure its on!. Put the steak on a broiling tray!. There should be two parts to this tray, a top, flat sheet with holes in it and the bottom pan where the juices are collected!. You can always just use foil and make a pan with somewhat tall sides which would work just as well!. Just be careful not to cut the foil when you flip the steak or you'll get deliciousness all over the oven!.

As far as prep work I'd season them the same if they were going on the grill!. Get both sides!. Save the juices and put em in a pan with sauteed onions!.

If you don't have a broiler you can still bake you meat!. Maybe cutting it up into thinner pieces would result in a more juicer, evenly cooked meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

For PORK CHOPS: it would be nice to fry them on both sides first, sealing in the juices, before you put them in the oven, but if you've not got a frying pan, no sweat!. Get some sage & onion stuffing mix and make it up (add boiling water & a bit of butter/oil)!. Pile it up on top of each of your pork chops!. Pour some apple juice or cider in the pan - this is nice, it stops the chops from drying up and tastes good!. Put pan in the oven at about 375 and watch for the stuffing to get really brown!. You can test the chops every so often, I'm not sure how long it will take if you don't fry them a little first!. Perhaps !?half an hour!. When you serve them, have a side dish of applesauce!. Very British!. I often make baked potatoes in the oven at the same time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pork chops are really good baked but you would want to broil a steak!.
If you don't have a grill, broiling is really the best way to get a tender, juicy steak!. Check out the site for great instructions on how to broil steaks!. http://video!.about!.com/homecooking/broil!.!.!.

Broil is your best friend for steaks! It's an opposite BBQ!. Heat from the top instead! I broil w/ door partially (3-6 in!.) open once hot enough!. Put them on a foiled cookie sheet or use a broiler-pan with some of your marinade in the bottom VS water!. And reserve some to pour/slather over the top when you flip them while cooking!. As for chop, SHAKE N' BAKE ( you can do chicken too)is my hero!. Because my boys like it and its easy!. Read the side of the box!. 20-30 min I believe off the top of my head depending on bone-in or not!. EASY! Or cook 3-5 chops in a baking dish with cream of mushroom or celery for 30-40 min!! YUM! i don't eat beef, but pork chops it depends on what the mood is!. I line a baking pan with foil!. I season the pork chops with seasoning salt, Garlic powder and onion powder!.
