How long can a jar of pizza sauce be left in the freezer and still be good?!

Question: How long can a jar of pizza sauce be left in the freezer and still be good!?
It is opened and has been microwaved and refrozen a couple of times!.

I dont know, maybe this is a silly question, but I just wanted to make sure it was still good before I ate any =P Which, I think think is understandable!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
I think the nuking and re-freezing definitely shortens the time allowed in the freezer!.

If it were sealed well and kept frozen it would last probably a year or so!.!.!.!. but thawing and re-freezing - that's a recipe for trouble!. I'd toss it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

For something like tomato sauce I would not defrost and refreeze multiple times!. If it were mine, I would toss it and just make some more!. Pizza sauce is real easy to make!.
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1 tablespoon ground oregano
1 1/2 teaspoons dried minced garlic
1 teaspoon ground paprika

DIRECTIONS
In a medium bowl, Mix together tomato sauce and tomato paste until smooth!. Stir in oregano, garlic and paprika!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

usually, anything that has already been cooked and frozen shoul only be reheated once!. if it is a jarred, premade sauce, then no longer than 1 year from the time you purchased it!. if it is homemade no longer than 2-3 months!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think I would throw it away, refreezing food is not a really good idea!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

When in doubt toss it out! Sauce is cheap, food poisoning is horrid!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
