Puff pastry rapid dethaw?!
I've never used puff pastry before today and didn't realize it had to thaw for 40 minutes room temp!. usually i just use the defrost setting on the microwave!.
I need to have dinner done sooner than later!. The dish needs to be cooked for about 40 minutes, add that with the 40 min thaw time and that's too late!.!.!.
Is there any way to half the thaw time!?
please only recommend ways that you have successfully tried!. It's only one of the 2 pepperidge (sp!?) farm frozen puff pastry sheets!.
thanks in advance!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can try to defrost in the micro at 30 second intervals, but no more than a minute and a half or two minutes total!. This isn't the best method, but it is the quickest!. Good luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Puff pastry is rather fragile!. You have to keep it cool and covered just while working with it or it's ruined!. Sorry, but you may be doomed!.
At most, I'd try the microwave in 30 second increments at the lowest power setting to see if you can pull it off!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
