Jumbo Shell Pasta Stuffed with Baby White Cheddar and Chicken Macaroni


* 6 ounce(s) dried small shell macaroni noodles
* 12 ounce(s) dried jumbo shell macaroni noodles
* 1/4 cup(s) Salted Butter
* 1/4 cup(s) all-purpose flour
* 2 cup(s) whole milk
* 1 cup(s) half-and-half
* 1 teaspoon(s) salt
* 1 teaspoon(s) cracked black pepper
* 4 cup(s) shredded White Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese
* 3/4 cup(s) chopped oil-packed sun dried tomatoes, drained
* 2 cup(s) shredded cooked chicken
* Nonstick cooking spray
* 2 tablespoon(s) melted Salted Butter
* 1 cup(s) finely crushed cornflakes

Directions

* 1!. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F!.
* 2!. In a large saucepan, cook both macaroni noodles separately according to package directions to al dente!. Immediately rinse with cold water to stop cooking process!. Drain and set each aside!.
* 3!. In a large, heavy saucepan, melt 1/4 cup butter over medium to high heat; add flour and whisk 1 minute!. Gradually whisk in milk and half-and-half; continue to cook over medium to high heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly!. Stir in salt, pepper, and 3 cups shredded cheese, until melted!. Stir in small-shell macaroni, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, and shredded chicken!.
* 4!. Spray a 13 x 9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray!. Fill each jumbo shell carefully with white cheddar macaroni and place each side by side in dish!. Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup shredded cheese!. Stir together 2 tablespoons melted butter and crushed cornflakes!. Sprinkle evenly on tops of shells!. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown on top!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can use the recipe sections for the sauce and chicken and mix with cooked elbow macaroni!.

Mac and cheese with Ham and green peppers-
this can be either using leftover ham or a ham slice from the grocery!.



Make a "cream sauce" first!. Melt 3 Tbs!. of butter, add 3 Tbs!. flour to it!. Stir and add 1-1/2 cups milk!. Stir to blend in flour/butter mixture and bring to a light boil!. It will thicken a little!. Lower to a simmer and stir in 1 cup sharp shredded white cheddar!. Stir until cheese melts and pour over hot cooked macaroni, add 1 cup chopped ham and stir- top with bread crumbs and a few pats of butter, bake at 350 for 30 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I make this ALL the time! It is delicious!! You can leave out cheddar and ham if you choose! The ham can also be the protein you need!. ENJOY!!!

Ok here are a few of the favorites at home!. If I try to copy some of the recipes I will not have enough space!. I use these recipes for picky kids who do not like to eat veggies also!. They are all meat mouth!. Please substitute White cheese for Yellow cheese!. I use all shapes of pasta for this also!.
Normally I use stir fry meats and veggies and mix them in now that they eat veggies!.

Here is my personal recipe
Jean's Mack and Cheese basic recipe!.
8 ounces uncooked elbow macaroni
2 cups shredded white American cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 cups milk
1/4 cup butter
2 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 pinch paprika

1!.Cook macaroni according to the package directions!. Drain!.
2!.In a saucepan, melt butter or margarine over medium heat!. Stir in enough flour to make a roux!. Add milk to roux slowly, stirring constantly!. Stir in cheeses, and cook over low heat until cheese is melted and the sauce is a little thick!.
Add stir fried meats!. Put macaroni in!. Stir well!.

step 3 and 4 optional!.

3!.Melt butter or margarine in a skillet over medium heat!. Add breadcrumbs and brown!. Spread over the macaroni and cheese to cover!. Sprinkle with a little paprika!.
4!.Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes!. Serve

I have added cooked veggies to the white sauce and ran it through the blender then added the cheese, poured this over the Mac's and stired and baked or not!.

All meat and poultry can be stir fried just keep the liquids to a minimum then mix it in with your Cheese sauce and mix with Mac!.

I have even cooked broccoli, cauliflower and carrots and blended it in white sauce and added it to the cheese mixture because my kids did not like veggies!.
