Fuzzy, both answers are correct, so you can go with either one!. However, your recipe is probably calling for Good Seasons, as the first to answer stated!.
The reason I say this is that --as you have worded your question --it appears as if your recipe *is not* listing amounts such as 1/4 cup, 2 TBS, etc!. If such measurements were included, this would indicate that you are to use measured amounts from a larger jar of something you would find in the spice aisle!.
So, in this instance, because it appears as if no measurements have been given, it is safe to assume that a package of Good Seasons Italian Salad Dressing mix is the intended ingredient!. The proportions would be correct for your recipe, and you can find Good Season's with the bottled salad dressings at your local grocer's!.
Now, if you would like to try the recipe presented by the second to answer, you could begin by adding 1 or 2 tablespoons of the homemade mix, and then allow it to sit for the flavors to blend!.
After tasting, adjust the flavor to your preference!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
