Question: I'm out of butter and I need a grilled cheese sandwich!!!!?
I can't go to the store right now and pick up butter!
I need a grilled cheese sandwich or I will just die!

I tried mayo as a substitute, it worked, but I hate mayo!!
Please, help me!

do you have any pam spray on hand!? If not, my dad used to make grilled cheese in the oven w/o butter!.!.!.just place the cheese between two slices of bread in a pan in the oven on 350 degrees!.!.!.flip the sandwiches until both sides are golden brown!.!.!.it works and it is really good!.!.!.oh and he used cheddar cheese instead of sliced!.!.!.hope this helps!.!.!.good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, if you don't have margarine or some other butter substitute, then use vegetable oil or olive oil!. You don't need much!. Just enough to coat the bread slices so they will brown nicely!. You can still get your cheese fix!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pam-butter flavor is best in this case!.

Lightly coat the pan with oil and lay the bread on on it!.

Use left over bacon fat!.

Use the mayo you wont be able to taste it!.

You could try a touch of olive, canola or vegetable oil!. You could do it dry, over low heat, in a nonstick pan!. You could use a toaster oven!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can try oil, wont taste the same as butter but will have the crispy greasy affect that butter gives the sandwich!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

these are all good answers !.!. cookin spray !. maybe alil oil!.!.!.!. maybe if u wanna mix it up alil weird and make it like a french toast grilled with egg and milk !. they're are quite a few different ways!.!. experiment!. hope it helps!.
