Hormel Pork Tenderloin?!

Question: Hormel Pork Tenderloin!?
I bought one of those pre packaged pork tenderloin roats and when i opened the air tight package their was like this thick goopy stuff!. It didn't smell but is that normal!? Is it just fat!? also i am cooking it at 300 for an hour do you think that will be long enough!? The package says 350 for 30-45 minutes but i wanted to cook it slower so it would be more tender!. Thanks for any suggestions or imput!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
The goop is normal!. I rinse and pat mine dry!. As long as it doesn't smell, and the date is good, you're good to go!. Are you dry roasting, or braising!? Longer dry cooking might just dry out the outside without making it juicier!. I'd stick with the package directions; they really are professionals at their products!. And when in doubt, use a meat thermometer, and remember that it will rise at least 5 degrees as it rests, so don't over cook it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i luv those!yes they are in a marinade of sorts, usually stated on the wrapper!. I don't think i've ever had one come out tough!. I like to pan fry them or broil too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
