Homemade spaghetti and meatballs or meat sauce
garlic bread or good crusty bread and butter
salad mixed greens, red onion, pepperocini peppers, olives with takeout olive garden dressing or whisk some balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar with a teaspoon of finely chopped garlic, salt, pepper, italian seasoning, olive oil and a bit of dijon mustard and water!.
Make some fresh iced tea--we brew 4 tea bags in the coffee maker with 4 C of water, stir 1/2 cup or less of sugar into hot tea and pour over ice in a pitcher!. Add another 3 cups of water and lemon
Sauce: Saute in olive oil 2 teaspoons minced garlic until fragrant!. Add a 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, salt and pepper!. Simmer til bubbly!. Turn off heat and add a teaspoon of basil and sugar!. Taste for seasoning!. If making meat sauce, brown ground meat first, drain oil off and add garlic and go from there!.
Meatballs-- add a pound of meat to a large bowl, throw in a large handful of bread crumbs and a small handful of parmesan cheese, 1 egg, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 tbl dried parsley, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper and about a 1/4 C warm water!. Mix with hands and form balls!. You can brown in a skillet, cover with the sauce and then transfer to a baking dish and cook in oven or if skillet is big enough, finish cooking the meatballs on very low heat!.
Garlic bread--slice the italian bread any way you enjoy and either lightly butter or brush olive oil on and then either garlic powder or fresh garlic and some parlsey and salt if wanted!.
Don't forget the parmesan cheese! EnjoyWww@FoodAQ@Com
