Of course! There are plenty of recipes for granola / muesli types, so if you are talking rice or hominy grits cereal, you just process the rice or hominy in your food processor or through your food mill [potato ricer would probably work too] until the grain has reached the consistency you want, then cook in water about 3 - 5 minutes, cover and let sit for a few minutes!. Ratio of cereal to water is going to depend on what grain / grass you got your cereal from, usually 1 part cereal to 2, 3 or 4 parts!.

For a "cold" cereal, you can use leftover popcorn, but put the milk on at the last minute or it will get soggy!. Leftover cornbread or toast also makes a tasty breakfast food, break in bits into a bowl, and pour on cold or hot milk!.

If this has not helped, please let us know what kind of cereal you want to make!. Either Diet for a Small Planet or Recipe for a Small Planet had a good recipe for ruskets - a kind of cereal bar that makes a good breakfast!. Or feel free to contact me and I'll see if I can't help!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
