I have a pork shoulder roast I want to cook in the crock pot today!. Anyone have a good recipe!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Place the pork roast in your slow cooker, and then add enough water in the crock pot to cover the pork!.

2Cover the Crock Pot with lid, place on the high setting and let it cook for five to six hours!.

3Very carefully drain the cooking liquid from the slow cooker!.

4Shred the pork into small bite sized pieces!. This can easily be done by using two forks to separate the meat!.

5Add a full bottle of barbecue sauce (14 – 18 ounces), and onion powder to the pulled pork!.

6Stir, replace the lid, and cook for an additional hour on the high setting!.

7Let the pork cool and serve on bunsWww@FoodAQ@Com

I use this recipe with fantastic results!.

1 tbsp oil
2 onions - chopped
6 cloves garlic
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cracked peppercorns
1 cup tomoto based sause - either bbq sauce - chili sauce or make a ketchup and salsa combo
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 tbsp worchetershire sauce
1 tsp liquid smoke (I dont like this so i don't put it in)
3lb pork shoulder roast - trimmed of fat

Cook onions in oil until soft - add garlic, chili powder and pepper!. cook 1 minute!.
Add tomato based sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, worchester sauce and liquid smoke!. Stir and bring to a boil!.
Place pork in slow cooker and pour sauce of!. Cover and cook on LOW for 10 - 12 hours or on HIGH for 6 hours, until pork is falling apart!.
Transfer pork to a cutting board and pull the meat apart in shreds!. Return to sauce and keep warm!.

With left overs - I put into soft tortilla wraps, wrap them up in tin foil - through in the freezer - for quick lunches!
Hope you like it!

I would give it a good dry rub, a little borwn sugar, chili powder, onion powder, granulated garlic, seasoned salt, etc!.!.!.!.

Then even add a little pomagranite blueberry juice on the bottom of the crock pot before you add the roast!.

Cook it until shredable tender!. Then when it is good and tender!. I would put the shredded pork on the bun, and add just a little b-b-q sauce before putting the top bun on!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
