Yes!. I cook salmon in the skillet all the time!. Heat a little oil in the skillet, add some flour, salt, and pepper to a small paper bag or plastic baggy, shake a piece of two of the fish in the flour to get a light coating, then fry in the skillet!. It is delicious this way -- it doesn't take long -- maybe 3-4 minutes each side!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
yes of course!. You can just rinse the fish and then dip in flour you've seasoned well with salt, pepper and maybe some creole seasonings to give it a light coating!. Fry it in a skillet with a little bit a few minutes on each side until fork-tender and flaky but not dry and stiff- beware fish cooks up very fast, do not overcook!. Serve with lemon or lime juice and vegetables and/or rice pilafWww@FoodAQ@Com
You sure can! I usually cook my salmon in a frying pan these days and it seems to dry out when i broil it!.
If you are trying to cook a soft fish, like sole, or catfish i'd coat it with bread or cracker crumbs or cornmeal, or else it will just fall apart!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes, just make sure your skillet is at a really high temp to get the skin crisp and then turn it down, add 1/2 water and cover, it should be done in about 5-8 min (or a little more if its a huge piece)Www@FoodAQ@Com

It depends on the type of fish!. Fish with firmer flesh would hold up in a skillet perfectly!. But soft fleshed fish might fall apart!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
