Can I use a coffee filter?!

Question: Can I use a coffee filter!?
Can I use a coffee filter instead of muffin paper!? Im baking muffins and I don't have any muffin paper!. I don't want them to stick to the pan!. If not what else can I use!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
No!. Filter paper will stick badly!.

Instead, grease your muffin pan generously (non-stick spray will work), and instead of flouring the pan, coat the greased pan generously with *sugar*!

It really works, I do this all the time when baking!.

Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

That paper isn't designed for oven use, so it might burn and set your muffins on fire!. To keep them from sticking, you can line the muffin tin with nonstick aluminum foil or parchment paper (not wax paper, which will melt), or you can spread a thin layer of shortening over the muffin tins and dust with flour!. Nostick spray, especially the kind designed for baking, will work too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Grease the pan well!. Crisco works best, I think!. You can also flour the pan, too!. I never use paper cups!. I just don't like them!.
I'd definitely say no to the coffee filter!. It might do more harm than good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Shortening dusted with flower is best for non-stick baking!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just spray your pan!. They will be ok!. Be sure to cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Spray the pan w/ nonstick cooking spray!.!.!.they make one specific for baking that has flour in it too, or just regular!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Wax paper might be a better choice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
