Can I put avacodo in my husband's sandwich?!

Question: Can I put avacodo in my husband's sandwich?
I would like to make my husband a sandwich and put a few slices of avacodo on it. He has a lunchbox that he puts ice into everyday. Unfortunately, it would not stay refrigerated. Would the avacodo go bad?

Answers:

double wrap the sandwich in plastic wrap (not a ziplock bag) and make sure the plastic is tight and it will stay bright green and delicious even at room temprature

im a chef at the cheesecake factory restaurant and a local italian restaurant.....=)

Assuming you mean make a sandwich and eat it on the same day, it will be fine.

It might discolour but it will still taste the same, you can add a little lemon/lime juice to stop it discolouring.. but if it was me, id rather it looked a little brown but still tasted like avocardo not lime.

They go brown when exposed to air like apples but that doesn't mean it has gone bad.

Depends on how long it'll stay out. If it's still chilled by the time he eats it, besides the discoloring of avocado, it should be fine.

Any sandwich that has been left out for long, and has gone a bit warm, I wouldn't risk it.

Yes,you can put avacodo in your husband's sandwich surely.

It shouldn't, no. It might brown a little, but that's just oxidation. Please do--avocado goes real well in sandwiches...I should think about adding some to mine.

it wont go bad but if you want to prevent it from getting brown you could spritz it with lime juice.you have me wanting avocado now. yummy.

It will turn brown if it is exposed to air. But it won't hurt him to eat it.

it will go brown but other than that it should be ok.
