Cake decorating help please?!

Question: Cake decorating help please?
I would like a website that has information on how flowers on a cake are made, and one telling how they were made twenty years ago. This will be much appreciated, thank you :)

Answers:

Try www.wilton.com. You can find information about making flowers. Buttercream flowers would be made the same now as they were 20 years ago. Fondant has become popular over the last few years. Wilton's website should have information on both. Wilton is the company who sponsors cake decorating classes in most of the craft stores and they sell cake decorating supplies. I took cake decorating classes about 14 years ago and we only worked with buttercream. Now the classes teach working with fondant.

In addition to the Wilton website. Check out one of Martha Stewarts cake decorating cook books from the library or find a used one online at Amazon.com. Martha may also have a cake decorating blog (she has a zillion). But I used her cookbook and made a nice wedding cake for my daughter.
