Tortina
"Tortina" (literally, "small cake", plural: "tortine") is a generic name, but other names, according to the specific kind of cake, are more common: for instance, "crostatina/e" is for jam or custard tart or similar, with jam, custard or pieces of fruit above a shortcrust pastry.
When the cake is a very small pastry (and made with their own specific recipe) the correct term is "pasticcino/i", like this ones

The last image represent a kind of "pasticcini" that actually can be considered a kind of "biscotti", but when done in a cake shop are known as "pasticcini secchi" ("dried", since they don't have a fill).
A synonym of "pasticcino/i" is "pasta/e", just like spaghetti, etc, and is very commonly used in Italy, but I suppose it may be confusing for English speakers.
