Something easy to cook?!

Question: Something easy to cook?
So I want to surprise my mom by cooking for her. She's been really stressed lately, and I want to try and help her. I'm not very experienced in the kitchen...but I can work the microwave and oven...I can attempt the stove. :P So my question is, what is something quick and easy that I can cook that can feed me, my mom, and possibly my dad? (depends on if he's home.) Or if you have any websites that could help, please share! Thanks! :)

Try this, 1 large can chopped tomatoes,or crushed, 1 jar chunky salsa, Hot or Med, Mix in pan. Heat till simmering. Just below boil. Taste. If you wish add a little Cajun seasoning,or soy sauce, or salt, Till it taste extra good. Add 2 tali pi fillays per person. Simmer till fish is done. You might want to add a garlic bread to the mico wave. Fish soup. Fast easy and taste good. Or boil some noodles for the extra sauce. My Grand Kids love this. And every one says it is good. Fast and easy. And healthy. I like hot. Grand kids say med. Also good with cat fish nuggets. And I have served it over rice.

SHERRY'S RAMEN NOODLE SALAD

2 cups fresh broccoli florets
3/4 cup reduced-fat Italian salad dressing
2 (3 oz pkgs each) ramen noodles, flavor packets discarded
8 oz boiled deli ham, cut into bite-size pieces
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
4 cups torn green leaf lettuce

In a large pot of boiling water, cook broccoli until just tender, 3 minutes. drain, rinse under cold water until cool.
In a large bowl, combine salad dressing and 1/2 cup water. Break noodles into 1-inch pieces. Add to dressing mix.

Add ham, tomatoes, and broccoli. Toss mix until evenly coated. Let stand until noodles soften, 20-30 minutes.

Arrange lettuce on serving platter, top with noodle mix.

Take some frozen veggies, put them in a pan and add some sauce. Then, cook some 5 minute rice and mix the two together! Voila, a rice and veggie stir fry! ( If you feel comfortable cooking meat, you can but if you are inexperienced with cooking it us probably best to keep with veggies and grains!) If all else fails, breakfast for dinner works every time! Good luck :)

Something like that.. tells you how to make just about anything...

Dont be afraid of the kitchen. Once you learn a few basic techniques, you can make anythng....

Ive been making mac and cheese since I was 6. I tasted Kraft Mac and cheese for the first time in College, and asked, "Uh, why is this yellow?"

So, dont think you cant do it...

Try something stir fry, make pasta, saute chicken bits with veggies, and add pasta at the end and stir around, just dont cut chicken and veggies with the same knife and cutting board without washing and sanitizing them.....

It is very nice for you to be doing something your family will love, and have a nice dinner!
