Have you ever taken a one-time cooking class?!
Have you ever been to one of these one-time cooking classes where they show you how to make a specific dish? Do mostly couples go? Or will its not be unusual for me to go alone? Will everyone else be older?
I'm just a little apprehensive about going alone :/
I have the option of telling him I want a different gift, but I don't want to hurt his feelings.
Answers:
Yes I have been, twice.
In both cases they were general cooking classes to familiarise me with ways to work around a kitchen.
I found those there were young men or women but also many widowers. Your orientation could be a problem with some of the older people.
usually these one time classes specialize in one particular dish or item, so its best to have a little knowledge of the item they will be teaching. they are alot of fun and you can meet others who have an interest in the dish. its ok to go alone and 23 is not young in the culinary industry. go and have fun. suki
I don't think couples go that often. And even if it is filled with couples WHO cares. Enjoy the class take the knowledge and share with your boyfriend next time you see him.
I am an accomplished home cook who has won awards for various categories and have been cooking since I was very young - like 10. I pretty much had the basic techniques down before I was 13, baking, chopping, frying, grilling etc
Honestly, I don't know how much you would benefit from a one time class making one dish.
And maybe not a dish you even care to learn to make.
Loving to cook is sort of a 'bug'. You either like it, love it, or tolerate it. It should be a legitimate interest for you, otherwise, the class is a waste.
They teach classes here on how to flip eggs for $100 - really?
I have never been to a cooking class. It sounds like singles or couples of any age would be welcomed. Just go - you might have fun, learn how to make a lasagna or something.
