Tater's crushed by deliciousness.
Whipped Potatoes
Crushed spuds
Spud-bomb
Potata Homemado
purée de pommes de terre (French for mashed potatoes)
Damn good potatoes
Potatoes tomatoes, only potatoe.

Can't think of anything else...

yeah but if you give them too fancy a name people might expect something different .. Like putting lobster on the menu then serving up a fish finger haha.. But everybody loves mashed potatoes :) id call it mash.. ya know like 'bangers n mash' (maybe thats only an australian expression :S - sausages and mashes potatoes lol)

What sounds like "boring" to you is "familiar" to patrons...something they know and enjoy and can count on (usually) to be good. I've heard them called "smashed potatoes", too....but I wouldn't get too far off track in naming them.

Creamy potatoes, potato surprise, or simply call the potatoes by your name eg. .........'s potatoes

Smashed.
Silky.
Creamed.
Velvet.

Assuming you make them suitably creamy and silky in texture of course!

Whipped Potatoes

Umm here in the simple land of children they get called mashed taters
