How much sauce should i use for bolognese?!


Question: How much sauce should i use for bolognese?
I have a jar of Bolognese sauce to add to my mince beef.
Its 750 g so does 125 g sound about right because it says it serves easily six people.
How long do i cook the mince for once iv added the sauce i read i can cook it for 2 hours but at what tempreture?

Bolognese sauce:

Brown your meat with diced onion and garlic. Then add 1 cup beef stock, and 1/2 a bottle of red wine. Let it simmer on the stove until the liquid reduces by about half. Maybe 15 minutes or more.

Then add your sauce. How much depends on how much meat you're using. 6 people, I would use at least half the jar if not all of it. Depends on how much meat again, and if you're serving anything else with the meal.



dry fry the mince first (not adding oil) then add sauce, I'd cook on a low heat for about 30 minutes
2 hours seems a bit long just to cook up a simple meat sauce
