I think that whatever they put in the cream cheese to make it spreadable (extra milk, most likely) will make it too soft.

I thought you have to mix away the cream cheese anyways. If so it wouldn't matter. (And actually it sounds like it would be more delicious since it'll be softer *drool*)

If your recipe calls for milk don't use as much, or add a little more oreo to the mix.

its the same thing.... and you have to mix the cream cheese anyway. so all is good.

Spreadable cream cheese will be fine. It's the same thing, just a little softer.
