How long is it ok to keep flour for after the best before date?!
Answers:
as long as it's all-purpose flour, it keeps forever. they have to print a "best by" date due to FDA regulations. the only flour you have to use by the "best by" date is self-rising flour because the leveners lose the ability to rise.
*edit: grain weevils normally get into flour before it's packaged, or get in bcause it's improperly stored. I store my flour in an air-tight container in the fridge, and I store my rice in the freezer. you don't get weevils from old flour.
'Best before' dates will not harm you if used after the stamped date, however the products quality may have suffered the longer you wait after the date. So if you're using flour I wouldn't use anything that's too old.
As a side note, 'use by' dates must be consumed or frozen (depending on product) by the date stamped in order to be safe. Anything expired can and most likely will make you sick.
Remember that they put dates on things for a reason!
Hope this helps : )

Difficult to say. A "best before" date doesn't mean "deadly poisonous after".
BTW, those little "worms" are actually flour weevils and their eggs would have been in the flour when you bought it. Keeping it in an airtight container won't stop them getting in, just getting out. Putting the bag in the freezer for a day will kill the eggs.
as long that the flour is kept in dry place it will last you for 1 year if you don't use it much keep in the freezer there it will keep longer.
I don't imagine I would keep it for too long after that. It's best if used by that date for a reason.
Until you use it all or see bugs in it. Then throw it out.

Trash it when the date goes out!
