I always burn my noodles please help?!
I do the noodles and then cook it with the cheese to make it really hot. Becuz i like hot food like everyone else does. It turns brown, but the noodles stay crucnchy. does not make any sense
Answers:
you are undercooking your noodles if they are crunchy.....
You should only cook it with the cheese for 1 - 2 minutes while stirring if you like it hot.
dont add anything except a pinch of salt and a pinch of powder parmasian (trust me, its the best way)
I love you
you should follow the directions on the box. if you cook your pasta on High, drain it, and put it back in the same pot and cook it on HIGH of course it will burn, the cheese will start to burn and turn brown because the burner is set to a very high temperature.
cook your noodles for about 10 mins, or whatever it says on the box. drain it, put it in a bowl and mix with the other included ingredients, (cheese, milk ?) the cheese will melt, if you need it warmer, then simmer it on the stove at LOW heat.
HIGH always burns if you are using it for something other than boiling water or deep frying foods.
Boil your noodles until they're almost soft, then let them drain. While they're draining, add your butter to the hot pan and heat over low heat (2 or 3 on an electric stove). Add your noodles, milk, cheese, and salt and pepper (if you add it). Stir constantly for one minute. Ta-duh, super-hot, super-yummy boxed mac&cheese. I do this all the time for my kiddos and I.
make mac&cheese 2 or 3 times a week.
Boil the nodles first.
Drain and retunr to Hot pan, add milk, butter and cheese pacet. If you like it extar hot why not put it itn the microwave for a minutes first?
Either microwave it, or put extra shredded cheese on top to "protect" the noodles from drying out during your scalding process. =)
You should Boil the water first. Once it boils then add the noodles and let the noodles turn soft then add the cheese. Or you could just use the microwave it might be easier.
dont... dont cook it WITH the cheese... follow.. the instructions... and you should be ok... and make sure your boilng the noodles...
Kind of sounds like you're using too much heat. Turn down the heat a little bit and make sure you use enough water.
boil noodles 1st
