how do I thaw pizza dough without a microwave?!?!

Question: How do I thaw pizza dough without a microwave?!?
I am cooking dinner and don't know what to thaw it with! I don't have a microwave!

Answers:

If you don't have a lot of time wrap it in plastic and put it in a bowl that is set in another bowl with warm water , turn it occasionally this will speed up the thaw process. Otherwise place it in the warmest area of your house wrapped in plastic.

When you thaw it, keep it in the bag or bowl on the counter. It will take an hour or two to thaw and another hour or so to rise. Not having a microwave is good in this instance. Thawing pizza dough in a microwave will damage the dough. It will kill the yeast and prevent rising and it will begin to cook the dough and make shaping the pizza difficult or impossible.

Yeast dies at 140f, and anything over 120f I try to avoid. You could put the dough in a warm oven that has been turned off if you are sure that all of the surfaces are not too hot. if it's too hot to touch, it's too hot for dough.

DONT PUT IT ON YOPUR COUNTER!!! put it in your fridge never thaw pizza dough out in the air and secondly you should try not to freeze it it really takes a toll on the dough and wont come out with very good texture

im a chef
