If you like a firm, un-fishy fish.. you want any of the "white" fish. Cod, Sole, Halibut, Flounder, or my favorite - cold water Haddock. Even though it is authentic and would be plentiful in warm waters - my least favorite is Tilapia, for a number of reasons (It's oily, and you can usually only get very thin fillets) Dark fish like salmon is very good for you (Omega-3 fatty acid) however all dark fish have distinct flavors that are not for everyone.

At the end of the day - this is totally personal preference. But the lighter and more firm the fish... the less "fishy" Haddock is not a fish native to Mexican waters that I know of - but it's still my favorite white fish.

Good luck.

Cook for fun and pleasure.

Oh Yummy! One of my favorites! Most common are going to be white fish always buy it fresh. You can make them with Tilapia, Cod because it stays together and is inexpensive, grilled Salmon, Halibut is good too, Ask the person at the fish market what they recommend, they will usually tell you what just came in and is freshest.

the best fish to out in tacos i think is tilapia. i like my fish tacos with breaded and deep fried tilapia fish, catfish is a good option too and its not that expencive. i also like to add some mayo onthe tortilla and top with pico de gallo and cabbage. if you want you can also top with some shreded mixed chesee

Any type of fish will do.
As I don't know what type of fish you have available I would suggest a firm white fish like cod, hoki, haddock. You could also use salmon, but that is a bit pricey.

Most fish ends up mushy in a taco - that's why they use cabbage instead of lettuce. Beer battered fish, cooked hard and cut lengthwise is good in tacos.

shrimp work, I like white fish personally tilapia, cod, sole....
and I'd grill it rather than fried and battered its much healthier that way.

i only eat fish. um i like salmon. and try shrimp if you like shrimp. and another one i have heard was good was sole.

I would try either cod or tilapia fish

none, whitch should i eat you or nothing xD

Mexican I guess!
