What are some healthy ways to eat tuna (canned)?!

Question: What are some healthy ways to eat tuna (canned)?
i love tuna, and i like the canned kind it's fine. but, the problem is...i like it with mayonaise. we all know mayonaise is unhealthy. what are some healthy ways to prepare it so that it tastes good? i don't like low fat mayo so thats out of the question lol. anyone have any recipes or somethin? thank you

Answers:

tuna
chopped:
onions
tomato
cilantro
carrots
celery
cucumber

mix ingridients together add some lemon juice and some salt. you can enjoy with tortilla chips or crackers.

Mix it with a bit of shredded carrot and cheese then use as normal. Another favourite of mine is to use a little drizzle of truffle flavour oil on it. It's rather dry on its own so you will need a little oil or cheese. If you want to be super healthy then try mixing with cottage cheese, you can use the flavoured type. When you're able, get fresh tuna and have it a little rare for the smoother texture.

Another option is to try tinned salmon which has a different texture and is easier to eat.

I bet you will love this like I do

Tuscan White Bean Salad with Tuna

1-16 ounce can white beans, any variety, drained well
? cup finely chopped onion, any variety
1-6 ounce can tuna packed in water, drained well
? - 1 cup chopped fresh parsley
1-2 Tbls olive oil – or to taste
Salt and pepper to taste

1. Rinse drained beans gradually under warm water
2. Place drained tuna in a bowl, break into chunks, stirring in just a little olive oil for flavor
3. Combine tuna, beans, onion, parsley in a bowl, adding olive oil and mixing well (don’t be afraid to crush some of the beans)
4. Salt and pepper to taste (see notes below)

? This salad benefits from liberal amount of freshly ground black pepper
? Salt enhances the flavor of the oil, but there is salt in the tuna, so be cautious
? Vary the amounts of the ingredients to suit your taste
? Can be served on toasted baguette slices, or stuffed into Pita bread with lettuce and tomato.

we really like this tuna casserole...I use panko bread crumbs tossed in melted putter to add to the top
Tuna Casserole
INGREDIENTS
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) Campbell's? Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup (Regular or 98% Fat Free)
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp. chopped pimentos (optional, it really doesn't add anything but color)
1 cup frozen peas ( peas and carrots are nice too )
2 cans (about 6 oz. each) tuna , drained and flaked
2 cups hot cooked medium egg noodles
2 tbsp. dry bread crumbs
1 tbsp. butter or margarine

Mix soup, milk, pimiento, peas, tuna and noodles in 1 1/2-qt. casserole. Bake at 400°F. for 20 min. or until hot. Stir.
Mix bread crumbs with butter and sprinkle on top. Bake 5 min.
Tip: This recipe is also great using Campbell's? Condensed Cream of Celery or 98% Fat Free Cream of Celery Soup.

Mayonnaise is not that bad. Just use it in moderation. There is also mayo with olive oil.
Get the water-packed tuna instead of the oil-packed.

Mix in some veggies or olives (careful with capers, they're rather salty).
If you're having a sandwich, use a whole-grain bread.

Use light mayo and don't drown the tuna in it. Mayo is not that bad for you at all, it's oil and egg. Light mayo tastes no different than regular mayo.

I'm in the UK, so maybe this won't be the answer. But over here you can buy Salad Cream, which is healthier I am told. I prefer it to Mayo.

Use the tuna packed in water, of course.
Then use a combination of lo-fat yoghurt & sour cream.
Or use a lo-fat salad dressing, such as Ranch.
