What is the best way to clean/wash Minced Lamb without it getting all mushy in water?!

Question: What is the best way to clean/wash Minced Lamb without it getting all mushy in water?
Everytime i try to clean it with water it ends up looking really mushy meat and affects the taste as well, however if it left uncleaned the smell is really not nice at all. Is there anything that can be done to get rid of the smell but keep its texture before cooking?

Answers:

It's not a bad smell it's a different smell than what you're used to. If compared to ground beef, pork or turkey Lamb has a smell all it's own. You will destroy the taste and the consistency of ground lamb completely by washing it. It will turn into an oatmeal texture. We all know that's not good eats.

lamb meat has a certain smell & taste.... it's what makes it different from other more "traditional" types of meat (by traditional, here, i mean meats that you usually have, like, are used to!!)..... and also what makes it soooo addictive ;))

what i'm trying to say is : you either love it to bits, or hate it!! -- there is no actual middle way.

looks to me like you're trying to convince yourself it's good and you should like it.
you actually don't like it, but it's.... fashionable, right??! :)))

if you hate the lamb's smell so much... i recommend pork or beef.... not something like goat ('cos that has a certain taste too!).

pls don't wash the meat; it totally ruins it. i wouldn't even taste the outcome (cooked dish) of such a process.
never heard of it being done either, ever..... 'til now !!!

Never wash minced meat. It completely ruins your ability to saute the meat. Instead of sauteed meat, you will end up with steamed/boiled meat.

you don't wash ground/minced meat, it will remove much of the fat and ruin the texture
