Couldn't a chemist take a KFC chicken leg home and figure out the secret recipe?!

Question: Couldn't a chemist take a KFC chicken leg home and figure out the secret recipe?
If they can rip gator-aide apart ingredient by ingredient, one would think the same could be done just by running tests on a piece of KFC, right?

Answers:

It's not such a secret recipe. You can find the ingredients in any of a dozen books. But really all you have to do to replicate it is add a packet of dry Italian salad dressing mix to your breading.

I agree, but I'm not really sure if the "secret recipe" is really that hard to find out. Its probably just a mix of spices that add that extra kick to it.

It might be technically feasible, but not cost-effective.
A chemical analysis won't tell you the ingredients.

probably if you did the right tests

WHY??? KFC IS DISGUSTING...

Abbey from NCIS did. So, sure. If they can do it on TV it must be possible. LOL

You could, but why would you waste your time on deep-fried non-meat?

Yeah
