Please HELP black bean filling for tacos?!
Black beans
Ground cumin
Garlic
Canola oil
Paprika
Cayenne pepper
Yellow peppers
I still have two tomatoes but I am debating whether I should dice them up and throw them in or just dice them and make a layer on top (to mask the black pile of mush). I got yellow peppers to add color but I did not get enough of them. I did not want the beans to be mush but they ended up that way. What do you think? What can I do to make it look more attractive? It looks more like black bean hummus than a taco filling. Is it OK for it to look like that? Would that bother you if you had to put it on your taco? I am doing it for a party. Please HELP!! Advice is desperately needed.
Thank you.

If you are using soft taco shells, you can fold them like burritos and call them taco burritos. Should work great, and would be different then the normal. Hope this helps you. :)

Who cares what it looks like! Other than the canola oil it sounds wonderful! As long as it taste good that is the only thing that matters, at least to me!
U can add some fresh black beans 2 the dish so not all of the filling looks like mush
sounds good to me
depends. if you are just trying to eat it, then I would dice them up ad throw them in, but if you are trying to plate the dish( say to serve others in a fancy way) I would put the tomato on the top to take away from the mush underneath. Instead of dicing them, how about long slices to make a dramatic and different effect. u don't want to add diced tomatoes to the beans because the tomatoes would bring attention to the bean mixture and it wouldn't look presentable. By putting color on the top , you are pulling the eyes to the top of the taco, so that to the audience it appears very attractive. yellow peppers(diced small on the top of the lettuce as a second layer) and red tomatoes(laying in strips across the taco, or in a basket-weave design on the top of the taco) on top of a small pile of green lettuce (shredded) will look stunning and delicious. if you have a printer, go online and find a fun design, the print it out on pieces of paper. put a piece of paper around each taco and place the tacos in a shallow solid colored bowl, or a solid colored plate. If you don't have a printer, simply use regular or colored paper. once plated, sprinkle the plate and tacos with shredded cheese, preferably white cheese as a contrast. Place springs of parsley around the plate, or simply a slice of fruit(like lime, ect)
have fun^^
