Question: How to make bagels taste better without adding salt?

I made some everything is good except it taste just like plain wheat flour. I am trying to make zero salt bagels so I don't want to add any salt. Would more sugar ruin it?

sorry in all baked things(including cake,cookies ect.) you need to add a little salt or the taste is off
