Question: Can I just Add Chocolate Chips to the cheesecake i'm making?
I'm making a regular cheesecake with a gram cracker crust and I just wondered if i could just add chocolate chips to the top and underneath the batter. Thanks in advanced

Sure you can, the choclate chips give it a mixed diverse flavor with a kick. Hope this helps...:)

If you're making a chocolate chip cheesecake, fold them into the cheesecake batter before you scrape it into the crust.

If you want a chocolate topping, you'll want to make a ganache after the cheesecake has come out of the oven.

If you want the chips to melt, they won't. Chips have stabilizers in them to prevent them from melting in your baked goods (of course you can melt them in a pan, but your range gets infinitely hotter than your oven and they are being melted alone, not mixed into a dough or batter)

If you want to sprinkle the cooled cheesecake with chocolate chips just for decoration, that's cool too

What time is cheesecake time?

YES you can add the chips to the batter, BUT you must dust them with flour to keep them from sinking to the bottom.
