Baked potatoes left out for 6 hours, okay to eat?!

Question: Baked potatoes left out for 6 hours, okay to eat?
I left them on the counter in a foam tray, it's sorta warm in my apartment.

Are they still good to eat?

So long as they did not have any toppings they're perfectly fine. We store potatoes at room temperature before we cook them. I've left them out overnight because if you put them in the fridge the skins toughen up. Been doing them for years and have never had a problem.

If they had toppings, other than butter, they should be put into the fridge.

I would say no. You usually don't wnt to eat anything left out for more than 2 hours. The old saying: when in doubt throw it out. Better safe than sorry.... food poisoning sucks.

Were there any toppings on the potatoes? If not, I'd say they would be fine to eat. You might want to re heat them though.

I wouldn't. Just make some new ones or find something else to eat.

heck no

i would if they do not have sour cream on them just reheat them

If they are just baked potatoes...they are fine. Just a bit cold.
