Baking with sugar substitutes?!

Question: Baking with sugar substitutes?
Are there any good sugar substitutes that taste good in baked items? I'm looking to make sugar free or low sugar brownies in particular.

Splenda works wonderfully, I even use it to make my own whipped cream

I use honey. To me splenda has a weird after taste. Honey is amazing and you don't have to worry about substituting ratios. I just always put a little less honey than sugar since I don't like things too sweet anyways. Some people also use fruit sugar. You can buy it at a health food store. It may be kind of expensive. If you are trying to do diabetic friendly recipes, honey isn't any better than sugar. Any sweetener will contain bad carbs and sugars for diabetic patients. The diabetic friendly ones just have a lot less.
