Moist Dark Chocolate Cake.
Ingredients:
2 good tbsp softened butter
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup cocoa
1 cup milk
2 tbsp vinegar
Method:
Preheat oven to 180
Line large cake tin with baking paper
Place all ingredients together in a large bowl
Beat with electric beaters for a few mins until creamy and all combined.
Pour into cake tin
Bake approx 50 mins (or until skewer comes out clean)
Cool on rack
Frost with chocolate icing.
Good to go.

Yep vinegar, weird I know, but it works.
An alternative to vinegar is the juice and zest of 1 orange.
Chocolate Sandwich Cake- 5oz self raising flour, 1 oz vanilla flavoured custard powder, 1/4 cup cornstarch+ 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 0z cocoa powder, 6 oz of butter or margarine softened. 6oz caster or granulated sugar, 3 standard eggs, 2 tablespoons of milk. Pre-heat oven to 350F or gas mark 4 brush to 8 in cake tins with melted fat. or grease proof paper. sift flour, custard powder and cornstarch and cocoa together. until light and fluffy, then beat the whole eggs one at a time.adding a a sifted dry ingrediant with each fold in half of the remaining flour mixture, with a large metal spoon, stir in the milk then fold in the remaining flour. devide equally between the prepared tins and bake in the centre of the oven for 30-35 minuets or until well risen and firm. leave in the tins for 5mnts, then turn onto a wired cake rack when cold, sandwich together with any filling of your own choice.

Pound cake for sure :) Sure it's not low fat, but soooo good! And made with all wholesome ingredients. You could make a chocolate version of it. Good luck and happy cooking!
