I'm making corn bread, what can I substitute for HONEY?!

Question: I'm making corn bread, what can I substitute for HONEY?
I don't have any honey, could I just use sugar? If it calls for 3 tablespoons of honey, how much sugar should I use?

The honey is there to highlight the sweetness of the corn without being just sweet as it has complexity too. But yes, you can substitute just regular sugar but I would hold it to 2 tablespoons

No, no you don't put honey in corn bread, love!
you DO put milk, eggs, & cornmeal. Some ppl add more things though like butter milk... Which i don't like but u never know u may like it!

3 tablespoons. They are completely interchangeable. Yum! Enjoy!

You can use corn syrup or sugar - same amount as the recipe calls for. Yes, some people do make corn bread with some sweetener in it.
