Recipe for Homemade Strawberry drizzle?!

Question: Recipe for Homemade Strawberry drizzle?
I need a good recipe for a homemade strawberry drizzle. I'm making some cheesecake cupcakes and would like for a topping. :-)

Answers:

Even simpler: Slice your berries thinly and add sugar--1/2 c sugar to a quart of berries, and let them sit until the juice comes out and the sugar is all dissolved. Then put this mixture in the blender and give it a whirr until it's all pureed, press through a fine sieve if you want the seeds out.

If you cook it over medium heat for a while, it will develop the pectin in the berries and make it more jelly-like.

Really good and super simple-

1 cup Sugar
1 cup Water
1 and a half cups Smashed Strawberries

Mix sugar and water in a saucepan, and bring to a boil. Slowly add the smashed up strawberries and bring back up to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer COVERED for 10-15 minutes. Strain the sauce to remove strawberry chunks. Serve hot or at room temp.

Store leftover syrup in a covered container in the fridge.

Mix 1/4 cup of cornstarch with 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of water to make a simple syrup. Add 2 cups of fresh sliced strawberries. Cook for 15-18 minutes, or until fruit is mushy. If you have an emulsifier, use it to blend the mixture on the stove top. If not, throw it in a blender and puree, or use a strainer. Taste as you go to add more sugar if desirable.

mmm sounds delish! i would blend together fresh strawberries w/some sugar or powdered sugar...and pipe in on the cupcakes!

yummy! :)
