Chili & Baked Beans... (not together eeew) lol?!

Question: Chili & Baked Beans... (not together eeew) lol?
What kinds of beans do you use in your fave chili or baked bean recipes?
Any good recipes to share? I can search myself, would like a tried and true "everyone's fave" kind of recipe! Thanks! :)

Baked or borlotti beans

slice and dice some Capsicum (sweet pepper) and lightly fry it in a warm to hot pan.

While you're doing that cube up some Spec (or some really nice smokey tasting bacon). Mix the Spec with the Capsicum and continue to fry.

Stir mix around from time to time.

When the Spec starts colouring up - mix in the beans and add your chilli of choice to taste. I generally let the mix simmer for a while and add a bit of chilli each time I stir after testing the taste. It may sound gross but smells and tastes delicious.

i use red beans, but you can find a thousand ideas by typing "chili recipes" on line

Oh in chili you HAVE to use dark red kidney beans MMMMMMMMMMMMMM I love that creamy burst of flavor with every bite

For baked beans it's traditional to use great northern beans
