Anyone know some tasty food recipes?!
What's one of your favorite home cooked meals that I could try?
I mostly cook Mexican food since my parents are from there, but yeah.
Anything tasty I'll try to cook.

This is one of my favorites, only I use a half pound of ground beef. If you ever get bored of one cuisine, try another one. My latest kick has been southern/soul food. This is good by itself, or topped with cheddar, or even stuffed in enchiladas (then I call it fusion cooking. :)
Dirty Rice Recipe
2 Tbs (30 ml) vegetable oil
1/4 lb (125 G) ground pork or beef
1 tsp (5 ml) cayenne pepper, or to taste
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 tsp (5 ml) paprika
1 tsp (5 ml) dry mustard
1/2 tsp (2 ml) ground cumin
1/2 tsp (2 ml) dried thyme
1/2 tsp (2 ml) dried marjoram
1 Tbs (15 ml) finely chopped garlic
1/2 cup (250 ml) EACH, finely chopped onions, green and/or red bell pepper, and celery
3 cups canned or fresh beef or chicken stock
1 1/2 cup (375 ml) uncooked white rice
Cook the meat in the vegetable oil in a large skillet over high heat for about 5 minutes, until thoroughly browned. Stir in the seasonings and the onion, peppers, and celery. Reduce the heat to a moderate flame and cook, stirring frequently, for about 10 minutes. Add the stock and stir, being careful to scrape all the brown bits off the bottom of the skillet. Add the rice and stir thoroughly. Cover and reduce the heat to very low. Cook for 15 minutes without lifting the lid. Remove from the heat and fluff the rice with a fork. Keep tightly covered if not served immediately. Serves 4 to 6.
Umm, I know thousands of great things...
Maybe try this Asian-inspired chicken:
Place chicken pieces in a crockpot or bakind dish. Mix these ingredients and pour over the chicken:
1 cup brown sugar; 2/3 cup white vinegar; 1/4 cup lemon lime soda pop (like Sprite, 7-up or Mountain Dew); 3 tablespoons chopped garlic (I buy it already chopped in a jar); 2 tablespoons soy sauce; 1 teaspoon black pepper.
Cook in a crockpot for 8 hours on low, or bake in the overn at 350 degrees for about 90 minutes.
Or try these Blackened Pork chops:
Make a rub from 1 tablespoon Hungarian Paprika, 1 teaspoon seasoned salt, 1 teasp[oon dried sage; 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper; 1/2 teaspoon black pepper; and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. Coat 3 or 4 pork chops in this mixture, then pan fry in butter at fairly low heat until very dark on one side. Flip, and cook until very dark on the other side- about 20 minutes per side. Very savory!
Or the easiest yummy chicken recipe I know-
simply combine half water and half soy sauce, pour over the chicken, and bake at 450 degrees for 20 minutes. Turn chicken over, and cook another 30-35 minutes, til done. Simple & delicious!
One more easy & cheap one, Porcupine Meatballs:
Mix about one cup of instant rice into a pound of ground beef, and roll into meatballs. Place them in a greased baking dish, & pour 2 cans of tomato soup (undiluted) over them. Bake at about 375 for 60- 75 minutes.
