How do I bake drumsticks?!

Question: How do I bake drumsticks?
What temp and how long? Also, last time i baked chicken I put seasoning on them and the seasoning burnt and turned my house into a smoky mess, why did that happen? thanks.

Answers:

Ok here is how I do them in the oven. Preheat oven to 375. Season drumsticks with McCormick Lemon Pepper (trust me it's the best...I've tried em all) Place drumsticks in a baking pan and cover with foil. Bake for about 45 min. Uncover and broil on high for only 3 min just to make skin crispy. Enjoy. I usually brush them with alittle BB sauce for my kiddos...ok for me too. lol

Yikes! Sounds like your seasoning was too fine and your oven was too hot

I roast drumsticks at 375 for about 50 minutes, or just until the juices run clear (dark meat stays pink so color is a more difficult thing to gauge doneness by)

I rub them with vegetable oil and season with salt and pepper. Sometimes I substitute lemon-pepper. You can go a step further and cover them in barbecue sauce.

If you want to marinate them prior, pour a bottle of Italian dressing over them and marinate in the fridge for 2 hours.
