Does anyone have a recipe for white pasta sauce with NO cheese?!

Question: Does anyone have a recipe for white pasta sauce with NO cheese?
I won't be able to go grocery shopping until tomorrow, but I am craving some pasta with an alfredo-esq sauce. The problem is I don't have ANY cheese >.< The only ingredients I have that are relevant to this are:
Pasta (obviously)
2% milk
margarine
and a lot of basic ingredients (seasonings (no nutmeg tho =/), flour, etc)
So if anyone has any kind of recipe then I'm all ears!

Hi Bob, you can make a basic white sauce with what you have. Melt 1oz of margarine stir in 1oz of flour off the heat until blended and thick and glossy . Put your milk on to heat (1 pint) and when hot but not boiling stir in a couple of tablespoons to your mix Continue to stir this in before adding any more. Keep adding the milk a little at a time stirring it in fully after each addition until all used continue to stir over the heat until it is the consistency you want add salt and pepper . Instead of using all milk you could use half milk (1/4 pint and half stock). It can be kept warm in a double saucepan with a little water in the bottom pan. If warming or holding for any length of time it needs to be covered with greaseproof paper to stop a skin forming. This is a basic white sauce - usually made with butter and with an onion and a couple of bay-leaf and 4 cloves infused in the milk while heating but there is no need for this step if you don't want to. A little mustard can also be added. This is a very basic sauce that can be used for any white sauce or cream based soups. i hope this helps,al the best. Rab

Do you have sour cream? In a skillet, heat a half can of chicken broth (or white wine) and add half a carton of sour cream. Mix until smooth. My fave!
