Does putting salt in water make it boil faster?!

Question: Does putting salt in water make it boil faster?
Does putting salt in a pot of water make it boil faster? And if yes or no please explain?

Answers:

Salt makes water boil at a high temperature, not faster

If you put a pan of water on to boil and wait for it to come to the boil and then add salt, you'll see the chemical reaction wherein the boiling water melts the salt and the lot can boil over ... that's the reaction I believe leads people to believe that salt makes it boil faster, but that's not the case.

Salt melts ice by lowering the temperature of the ice's freezing point. Melted salt in water lowers the boiling point meaning, the salt and water would boil at a lower temperature than water alone. Yes, the temperature of salted water will come to a boil " faster" meaning that at a lower temperature the boiling point would boil in less time then just water..

If you put salt into water it raises the temp, but could boil faster if the temp makes the water level temp rise

This sounds an awful lot like homewor.

I will say it takes it just Little longer since it rasies the temp at whih water boils. YOU go find out the why.

Yes it does
