Chocolate Ganache Icing help?!

Question: Chocolate Ganache Icing help?
Ok, so. I want to make a cake for tonight, but am having a bit of a problem. I want to make Chocolate Ganache Icing but only have semi-sweet chocolate, whole milk, and condensed milk. I will be unable to get to the store by tonight. Is there anyway I can make the icing with the chocolate and whole milk? How different will it turn out?

A good substitute for heavy cream is using 3/4 cup milk and 1/3 cup butter. Warm them together until the butter melts, then proceed as usual for the ganache. That will replace the butterfat that is found in the heavy cream and will help the ganache have a nice smooth texture. Good luck!

I think milk would make it too runny, and too different from a proper ganache with cream

could you make a buttercream with butter, icing sugar and melted choc instead?
