1 (16 ounce) package frozen whipped topping, thawed?!

Question: 1 (16 ounce) package frozen whipped topping, thawed?
I am going to attempt to make this chocolate eclair cake recipe for the first time and this ingredient is confusing me. The cool whip I buy at the store is already thawed. Am I supposed to freeze it first and then thaw it for some reason?

Answers:

You are talking about the find that comes in a tub, correct? Not the aerosol kind. Thawed means thawed. No, you do not need to freeze then thaw again. I have been making this dessert for years. It is yummy & easy. Eat a piece for me.

Are you sure you're buying Cool Whip? Because it is ALWAYS kept in the freezer, both at the store and at home until shortly before you use it.

Some brands of whipped toppings come frozen. There is no reason to freeze your cool whip if it's already thawed.

No..
