Food network challenge cake?!

Question: Food network challenge cake?
Ok there was a cake on food network challenge and I think it was a French design? I believe they used honey and made it really stringy and covered balls of cake or eclairs in it? Does anyone know the name of the cake?

It is a Croquembouche. The easiest way to make them is to stack the cream puffs (frozen from your grocery store or sold in big tubs at warehouse clubs) into a pyramid and then cover with a sugar syrup or drizzle chocolate syrup over it. We served one at my parents' 50th wedding anniversary party and it was the star of the show (it was the chocolate version).

There are many recipes on-line for this dish if you want to make it from scratch but the frozen cream puffs make it really easy. Check out the link for several versions.

P.S. ( If we are thinking of the same show... I loved it when the Croquembouche caught on fire!)

Perhaps you mean: Croquembouche. Pronounced: "Croak-em-boosh". It is an incredibly festive dessert. Very memorable as you don't see it very often. It is elegant...a definite center piece for any banquet or special occasion.

Here's a bit more info for you...
